▶︎ WHAT ABOUT LOCATION, ACCESSIBILITY AND PARKING?

Western Avenue Press is located in the city of Lowell, Massachusetts, in the biggest artist community on the US East Coast: the Western Avenue Studios. A creative community with 245 working studios, 50 live/work lofts, 350+ artists and 238,000sf on a 5 acre campus. We are located north of Boston and easy accessible by either car or commuter rail (Lowell Line /North Station Boston to Lowell). There is plenty of free parking available in two big parking lots.

 

▶︎ IS THERE A MINIMUM CLASS OR WORKSHOP SIZE?

No, but our workshops and classes have a cap of 5 participating artists to keep the workflow going. If you would like to book an event with a larger party, please contact the printshop to inquire possibillities. 

 

▶︎ DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS FOR STUDENTS OR WESTERN AVE ARTISTS?

Western Avenue press offers discount program for Fine Art students (student ID required upon sign-up) and Western Avenue artists and tenants. Please contact the shop management for detailed information!

 

▶︎ HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR CLASSES, WORKSHOPS OR COLLABORATIONS?

Workshops and classes can conveniently be booked via this website. Click here to see a listing of our current and upcoming events. If you are interested in studio/press-time and/or collaboration projects at Western Avenue Press, we highly encourage you to visit our facility. Collaborations are custom tailored to every artist's work and function, and never an of-the-shelf product. Contact the studio to schedule a meeting!

 

▶︎ IS THERE A DAILY RATE AVAILABLE?

Western Avenue Press offers hourly or daily press-time rental for artists working in printmaking and print-related fields. Hourly or daily rates vary according to your needs and setup. If you are not familiar with the printshop operation but want to explore the medium, you can either take one of our introductory classes or book press-time with a supervisor. WAP also offers a weekly Open Workshop. Artists who took our introductory class are eligable to make use of the facility during Open Workshop time. ▶︎ WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT POLICIES?

Western Avenue Press accepts all major credit cards, check and cash payments for both, gallery purchases and project/collaborative work. Workshops and classes booked via the website can also conveniently be paid via PayPal. For cancellations, please note: workshops and/or classes not cancelled 48h prior to begin of the event are non-refundable.
