Western Avenue Press - Merrimack Valley's first project space for contemporary printmaking - is located in a beautiful and light-flooded loft space within the largest artist community on the U.S. East Coast, the Western Avenue Studios & Lofts in Lowell, Massachusetts - an unique location, home to 245 artist studios, 50 live and work spaces, 350+ artists and 238,000sf on a 5 acre campus.

 

Founded in 2011 by printmaker Markus Haala, Western Avenue Press operates state-of-the-art printmaking equipment. Our print shop is equipped for intaglio, waterless lithography, letterpress, was well as alternative printmaking techniques - including laser engraving. Our mission at WAP is sim ple: We want to incorporate the classical techniques of fine art printmaking with modern media. We offer collaborations, master printing services and customized projects to our community and artists interested in exploring the art of printmaking.
